Community Action Day

The JCEO team had a blast this Saturday celebrating Community Action with our partners in Betty Little Park! Despite the rain that came in the afternoon, families visited throughout the day, laughing with Pipsqueak’s Party Time, drawing chalk art, and learning about the services offered by local organizations. Plattsburgh’s Town Supervisor Michael Cashman stopped by in the morning to present a Supervisor’s Citation to JCEO for our years of service. We gave tours of our Margaret Street food pantry, and people played spin-the-wheel for a chance to win a free raffle ticket.

Every year, Community Action Agencies like JCEO serve millions of Americans by providing critical services like housing and nutrition assistance, utilities, workforce development, and education. Throughout Clinton and Franklin Counties, JCEO assists thousands of local residents every year, providing nutritious food, rides to medical appointments, home energy repairs, early childhood education, application assistance, and so much more. We’re thankful for the support from the communities we serve, and for the opportunity to continue investing in our neighbors’ strength and resilience - we look forward to another 60 years!

Thank you to MVP Health Care for sponsoring the event.
