JCEO recognizes the 11 Federal Holidays, and all locations close for or in observance of those dates. Additionally, offices are closed on the day after Thanksgiving. Ocasionally, some locations will close due to inclement weather - please check our Facebook page for up-to-date information on weather-related closures.

JCEO hosts or participates in several fundraising events throughout the year. Two events repeat on a reoccurring basis: the Plattsburgh Cards & Collectible event, which takes place on the third Saturday of every May and October, and the Charity Golf Tournament, which takes place on the third Friday in August.

JCEO has a Board of Directors that meet monthly to discuss agency needs and goals. Full board meetings take place at 9am on the third Tuesday of each month (except for April, August, and December) at JCEO’s administrative office in Plattsburgh.

A handful of times each year, JCEO offices close for a day so all staff members can participate in Agency All Staff meetings, where staff participate in teambuilding exercises, share lunch, and receive important training and organizational updates.

Cards & Collectibles
Our fall Card and Collectible Show is taking place on October 21st 2023, from 10am to 5pm at Champlain Centre Mall.
Featuring 65+ vendor tables, with free admission all day, guest appearances by Pikachu and the Montreal X-men, a Pokémon Coloring Contest, and a huge raffle with numerous great prizes to help raise money for the JCEO Backpack and Fostering Komfort Programs!!
If you are passionate about in Sports Cards, Pokemon, Magic The Gathering, Comic Books, Dungeons and Dragons, Marvel, Star Wars, hand crafted proucts, vintage video games, Pop Figurines, or various other cards and collectibles and want to help support a great nonprofit organization like JCEO, this is for you!
