JCEO recognizes the 11 Federal Holidays, and all locations close for or in observance of those dates. Additionally, offices are closed on the day after Thanksgiving and the day before Christmas. Occasionally, some locations will close due to inclement weather - please check our Facebook page for up-to-date information on weather or emergency related closures.

JCEO hosts or participates in several fundraising events throughout the year. Many events repeat on a reoccurring basis.
Some of the larger events include:
the Plattsburgh Cards & Collectible event, which takes place every May and October
the Charity Golf Tournament, which takes place every August
the CPKC Holiday Train, which takes place late November/early December every year

JCEO has a Board of Directors that meet monthly to discuss agency needs and goals. Full board meetings take place at 9am on the third Tuesday of each month (except for April, August, and December) at JCEO’s administrative office in Plattsburgh.

A handful of times each year, JCEO offices close for a day so all staff members can participate in Agency All Staff meetings, where staff participate in teambuilding exercises, share lunch, and receive important training and organizational updates.

Old Soul Family Karaoke
“Dj Coco is hosting our weekly weekend wind down, Family Friendly Karaoke! This time with a twist! Let's help our neighbors and friends by donating nonperishables in a time of massive need. Bring a food item and receive $1 off your first beverage. All donations will be given to JCEO.

Dine Out and Give Back at Butcher Block
Get an early start on Valentines Day and support JCEO! Show your Dine Out & Give Back card (they're free) when you dine in at Butcher Block on Monday, February 10th 2025 to have 20% of your purchase benefit the JCEO Backpack and Fostering Komfort Programs.

Ag & Art Fair
