Over $11,000 raised for local kids!
Thank you to everyone who sponsored, donated, and played in our 19th annual Charity Golf Tournament!
With your support, we raised more than $11,800 for local children in need - that’s enough to feed 38 food-insecure kindergartners for the entire school year through the Backpack Program and provide a suitcase with necessities and comfort supplies to twenty children entering foster care. All that plus a beautiful day on the course!
Special shoutout to our tournament sponsors, Northern Insuring Agency, the Sun Community News, Wilson Appliance Centers, National Business Technologies, Millers Mosquito Management, and the Northeast Group!
Tournament prizes were sponsored by Cold Spring Mountain Foundation (1st place), Decoded North (2nd place), Friends of the North Country (3rd place), the Senior Citizens Council of Clinton County (4th place), and an anonymous donor (5th place.)
WHY IT MATTERS
Fostering Komfort collaborates with Clinton County DSS to provide suitcases or duffle bags filled with age-appropriate toiletries like hair care, body wash, and deodorant, and comfort items like coloring books, blankets, and toys, to children transitioning into foster care.
The Backpack Program provides meals to local, food-insecure elementary school students so they have food over the weekends. Each bag contains food for two breakfasts, three entrees, a vegetable, grain, and snacks.
