The backpack program - become a sponsor

The Backpack Program provides a backpack full of food for children in need on the weekends. Your sponsorship of $183 provides food for one child for one school year in Plattsburgh. This program is coordinated by JCEO's Community Action Angels, a volunteer board dedicated to helping the community, particularly children, thrive.

Helping children in foster care

Fostering Komfort is a project of JCEO's Community Action Angels and the Plattsburgh Kiwanis Breakfast Club. Our goal is to provide a backpack with comfort items for children entering into foster care or transitioning between foster homes. Each backpack has age-appropriate items, so the child can be more comfortable in their new environment. Backpacks contain essentials like diapers, toothbrushes, and soap and comfort items like a toy, book, or stuffed animal.
