Community Action Realizing Success (C.A.R.S.)

C.A.R.S. accepts donations from caring individuals wishing to have unused vehicles taken off their hands. Vehicles meeting program standards are donated directly to a low income, employed family without transportation. Any vehicles that cannot go directly to consumers are sent to auction. This revenue provides the C.A.R.S. program funding to purchase more vehicles from local car dealerships and maintain the C.A.R.S. Garage.

The C.A.R.S. program helps eligible families maintain their donated transportation. The family contributes affordable payments to an Escrow account until a balance of $500.00 is reached. This serves as an account for future repairs and car insurance assistance. Basic car maintenance, child safety and defensive driving instruction are offered to those receiving vehicles in order to minimize car repairs and ensure safety.
